The Air Defence Museum, in collaboration with Digital Museums Canada and Studio CREO, is proud to announce the launch of its new Face to face website. This innovative virtual exhibition invites visitors to immerse themselves in five recent Canadian Armed Forces military operations, offering a unique and human perspective on these missions.
An unprecedented look at Canadian Armed Forces missions
Face to face offers an in-depth exploration of the missions, enabling visitors to discover often little-known aspects of these missions. In addition to the general history of some recent Royal Canadian Air Force missions, the exhibition gives a voice to the protagonists, soldiers and airmen who experienced these events from the inside. Through their poignant testimonials, visitors will discover the hidden, human side of these operations, often tinged with emotion and sacrifice.
A prestigious collaboration for a unique experience
This virtual exhibition is the result of a fruitful collaboration between the Air Defence Museum, Digital Museums Canada and Studio CREO. Together, these partners have succeeded in creating an immersive, interactive platform that sheds light on a facet often overlooked in traditional narratives.
“The Face to face exhibition stands out for its originality and the immersion it offers. Thanks to the generosity of our witnesses and the professionalism of our partners, we've been able to create an unprecedented, deeply human experience.”
- Nancy Girard, Interim Curator
“The Digital Museums Canada investment program is very proud to have supported the Air Defence Museum in the realization of its Face to face digital project. The end result of this collaboration is an engaging exhibition that offers an original way to discover the human side of military missions.”
- Leah Resnick, Director, Digital Museums Canada
“After a wonderful collaboration between our studio and the Museum team, we are proud to bring the Face to Face website online. In addition to its rich, even moving content, it's worth noting that this site has the particularity of being accessible to a public living with visual, hearing and motor disabilities.”
- Ophélie Delaunay, Content Director and Scriptwriter/Designer, Studio CREO
We invite the media and general public to discover this virtual exhibition, which promises to transform the way we perceive and understand contemporary military missions.
